Conferences/Meetings

SMCAA hosts both a fall and spring conference each year.  Topics are selected that will impact instructional and curriculum issues and relevant to Missouri educators.  Presenters are selected who have in-depth knowledge of the latest research and are primarily practitioners in the field.  Our 2009 Fall Conference will focus on mathematical instruction with presenters from both national and state levels.  These conferences bring a wealth of information to participants.  SMCAA is proud of the high evaluations that we have received in the past for these events.

Additional Information Concerning The 2009 Fall Conference

SMCAA also hosts fall and spring regional meetings across the state.  These regional meeting allow more SMCAA members to attend quality professional development at the local level.   Critical state and national news is also conveyed during these sessions.  Our 2009 Regional Meeting will focus on science instruction with the topic being "How to Focus on Science Understanding."
