Benefits to SMCAA membership include:

  • Current information about curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices through our regional meetings, curriculum newsletter, and our website. 
  • Practical help in creating, revising, and implementing written and taught curriculum based on the most current research. 
  • A “process” for curriculum development that includes, but is not limited to the requirements for MSIP, A+, and current research practices. 
  • Opportunities to network with other “curriculum people” in your region 
  • A special membership fee for all workshops and training sessions

  • Three day curriculum workshops targeted at a specific content area
  • Two day follow-up workshops for each content area

SMCAA has four employees to provide workshops and consultation for your district: Sharon Waite, Dr. Wesley Bird, Tony English and Mike Willard.

Membership in SMCAA  “district” membership is based on district enrollment. The fee schedule for the 2009-2010 school year is the same as last year, in order to avoid an increase in cost to districts.

SMCAA annual membership registration does not automatically coincide with EAT subscription renewal dates.

SMCAA membership runs annually from July 1 - June 30.

2009-2010 SMCAA Fee Schedule:

District Enrollment of 300 or less $175

District Enrollment of 301 - 1,000 $275

District Enrollment of 1,001 - 3,000 $375

District Enrollment of 3,001 or more $475

Associate Group (non-district) $200.00

Individual Associate Membership (non-district) $25.00
