ATTEN-HUT!! It is time once again to strap on your marching boots and sign up for the SMCAA Curriculum Bootcamp! No, don’t be scared, it’s not that type of bootcamp…there will not be any early morning 10-mile runs, no 5:00 AM Reveille’s and no SMCAA drill sergeants yelling at you to wake up. Instead, you will wake up at The Lodge at Old Kinderhook and be greeted by curriculum colleagues, administrators, and lead teachers from across the state who have banded together to take a hard look at curriculum. This two-day bootcamp will feature all morning sessions on day one focusing on ELA (reading emphasis), Math (taking the curriculum to deeper levels), Science, and the Fine Arts. Afternoon sessions on the first day will focus on ELA (writing emphasis), Math (strategies and teaching activities), Social Studies, and the Practical Arts! Day two will provide additional whole-group sessions, as well as time for your district to share ideas gathered from the various sessions and to develop a working plan to take back to your district for the 23-24 school year. Gather your troops and sign up today for the 2023 SMCAA Curriculum Bootcamp!
