This two-day training is designed for individuals or district teams of those responsible for observing and evaluating quality instruction and providing feedback for learning and behavior change.  We will investigate thoroughly the three types of evaluation (for learning, evaluation, and fidelity) and what constitutes effective instruction.  At the conclusion of this training, you and your team will leave with:

  • The knowledge and skills necessary to identify quality effective instruction.
  • A process for observation of instruction and how know what to look for and how to record what you see.
  • How to practice “selective neglect” during observation
  • Knowledge of the three types of observation and appropriate use of each
  • Skills in giving feedback that will focus on affirmation and behavior change
