When thinking about curriculum writing, it should be pretty straightforward, right? We have the standards, we unwrap them, create our assessments…bada bing, bada boom…and you are halfway there. Unfortunately, as with most things in life, there are often forces beyond our control which impact our curriculum. Join us this summer as we move away from our “traditional” curriculum retreat approach to take a look at those items which impact our curriculum and how we can respond. Sessions for this retreat include the following: Legislative Impacts on Curriculum Work; SEL Impacts on Curriculum and Instruction; The Impact of DESE’s Literacy Initiative and How We Do ELA; Impacting Grading and Mastery Through the Use of Proficiency Scales; and Community Partnerships and Its Impact on Curriculum. In addition to these items, we will provide opportunities for you to engage in collaboration and dialogue with fellow attendees through the use of table activities and time set aside for regional meetings to occur. Sign up today for this unique Curriculum Retreat opportunity to see how these items can impact your written curriculum!
